The Re Gathering of the Flock in These Last Days

              T E A C H I N G S   OF   C H R I S T I A N I T Y

Before we start looking into some of the teachings within Christianty and where they began, we first want to open the Scriptures and see what it says, because it is the WORD that is our basis for Truth.

"See to it that no one makes a prey of you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary matters of the world, and not according to Messiah." Colossians 2:8

"...Which those who are untaught and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do also the other Scriptures. You, then, beloved ones, being forewarned, watch, lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the delusion of the lawless..." II Peter 3:16-17

"I marvel that you are so readily turning away from Him who called you in the favour of Messiah, to a different 'Good News', which is not another, only there are some who are troubling you and wishing to pervert the Good News of Messiah. However, even if we, or a messenger out of heaven, bring a 'Good News' to you beside what we announced to you, let him be accursed." Galatians 1 6-8

Deuteronomy 4:1 clearly says: “And now, O Yisrael, listen to the laws and the right rulings which I am teaching you to do, so that you live, and shall go in and possess the land which YHWH Elohim of your fathers is giving you. Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it, so as to guard the commands of YHWH your Elohim which I am commanding you.”

Deuteronomy 12:28-30 Guard, and obey all these words which I command you, that it may be well with you and your children after you forever, when you do what is good and right in the eyes of YHWH your Elohim. When YHWH your Elohim does cut off from before you the nations which you go to dispossess, and you dispossess them and dwell in their land, guard yourself that you are not ensnared to follow them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not inquire about their mighty ones, saying, ‘How did these nations serve their mighty ones? And let me do so too.’ Do not do so to YHWH your Elohim, for every abomination which YHWH hates they have done to their mighty ones, for they even burn their sons and daughters in the fire to their mighty ones. “All the words I am commanding you, guard to do it – do not add to it nor take away from it.”

Deuteronomy 6:12-14 "Then beware lest thou forget YHWH, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage. Thou shalt fear YHWH thy Elohim, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name. Ye shall not go after other elohim, of the elohim of the people which are round about you. 7:5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire."

Was Christianity truly the original faith that Yahushua taught?

Was Christianity the faith that the apostles and early believers practiced?

A Few of the Teachings, Traditions and

Distinguishing Emblems Which  Represent Christianity Today

Sunrise worship services, Easter eggs in the vestibule, Easter ham and hot cross buns at the church social. Is this honoring a resurrected Savior? This observance is one of the holiest days of the year in Christianity. Few Christians will doubt its authenticity. So let’s ask the critical question: is Easter Scriptural? Is it a holiday that should be observed by a True Believer?

Easter is made to appear Scriptural in a very clever way, but when one searches into the literal and spiritual truth of the matter one finds that Easter has nothing to do with the true Messiah. Any related religious connotations are found outside the Scripture and are unscriptural.

These statements may seem like blasphemy to today’s Christian, but if he truly has his heart set on proving his beliefs right out of the Bible, then he will find the ensuing study to be true. This treatise is prepared for those who are willing to prove all things, accept the truth, turn from falsehood and deceit, and hold fast to that which is true and good. You will hear many Christians saying that they celebrate Christmas to remember the birthday of the Saviour. Many will not participate in much of the worlds celebrations of the well known 'Santa Claus' story and all the frivolity that goes with it, and even if they discover the true pagan orgins of this day, they may say ?Well we remember it in our own way, and honour the Saviour in remembering His birth. However what does the Scripture say about how believers are to observe this day? To read more about the origins of this popular holiday and where in Scriptures it was celebrated, go to these two links: http://www.yaiy.org/literature/UntoldChristmas.html  http://www.yaiy.org/literature/IsChristmas.html

The Cross

Many people assume that the cross is a Christian symbol. Christians have indeed adopted the cross but its origins date back long before the Messiah was ever born. The cross can actually be dated back to ancient Babylon and the worship of the sun-gods Mithra and Tammuz. In fact the cross was not used by Christians until the fourth century after Emperor Constantine (a pagan sun-worshipper) had a vision of the cross in front of the sun.

The Fish Symbol

Also known as the Ichthys Symbol (Greek for fish). Another adaptation of a pagan symbol which was brought into Christianity. The fish was used worldwide as a religious symbol associated with the pagan "Great Mother Goddess." It was meant to represent the outline of her vulva. It is linked to the Age of Pisces and also has associations with the Hindu deity Vishnu but more so with Dagon the fish-god of the Philistines. The name Dagon is derived from dag which means fish. There have also been discoveries of the fish-god in sculptures found in Nineveh Assyria. Dagon is also found in the Scripture(Judges16:23-24;1 Samuel 5:2-5).

The Triquetra Symbol

Another symbol of the occult adopted by Christianity. This symbol is used to symbolize the Christian trinity doctrine, however this symbol was originally used to represent the Three-Part Goddess (Maiden, Mother, Crone). This symbol is used as a secretive sign by the Aquarian Conspirators (A New Age Cult) and appears on "The Aquarian Conspiracy" a New Age handbook. This symbol also appears on the popular TV show "Charmed" which promotes witchcraft and appears on the front cover of "The Book of Shadows" which is used in witchcraft and Satanism.

The seven Sacraments which are practiced within the Roman Catholic Church were actually seven rituals or rites inherited from the pagan Mithraism. There are no “sacraments” taught by the Scripture. Martin Luther the Protestant Reformer, brought three of these out of Roman Catholicism with him. Within the Catholic church system, the division of the believers into “priesthood” and “laity” (common people) enabled the sacraments to become a powerful tool to control those who believe the sacraments are authentic. Not believing in any sacrament, would remove the control that the Catholic priests had over the common people. Those people who were found doubting, were killed by the millions! The “sacraments” are the core of the operating system of the Roman Catholic church. Without the sacraments, Roman Catholicism would cease to exist. The “sacraments” are believed to be: Baptism, Penance/Confession, Confirmation, Matrimony, Holy Orders, Extreme Unction and finally, Holy Eucharist (what Yahushua was really doing at the “last supper” was observing Passover, and He told us to remember His death whenever we observe Passover, once each year).

Sunday Services

This may come as a surprise to many Christians today, but the Apostles and early believers kept Saturday as the Sabbath until March 7, 321 CE. On this date, Emperor Constantine issued a law which required believers to worship on the first day of the week - Sunday, which was the day the pagans worshipped the sun-god. Believers still kept Saturday as the Sabbath until another law was passed eleven years later. This law signed into decree by Emperor Constantine actually forbid the early believers to worship on the Sabbath (Saturday), and it was punishable by death by the Roman Catholic Church! Many believers were burned to death by the Catholic Church for keeping the Sabbath.

Even though there are many teachings within Christianity that are from the Scriptures, as you can see from the above,  Christianity also holds to many practices and traditions which are not founded upon the Scriptures. There is a mixture. Let us look at the definition of sand.  According to the Wikipedia online: "Sand is a naturally occurring granular material composed of finely divided rock and mineral particles.Sand is a mixture of broken rock – so is Christianity a blended mixture of some truths and some man-made teaching.

Were the Apostles Christians?

Was Yahushua a Christian?

If they were, then why were they not observing the same traditions and holidays, and following the same teachings that Christianity practices today?

So if Yahushua was not a Christian, and the Apostles were not Christians...

 WHAT is Christianity?

What WAS the original faith that the Apostles preached and practiced?

Most Christians are really taken aback when they find out that ‘Christianity’ was not the faith of the apostles! Early believers were never called “church goers” or even “Christians.” The faith in Messiah was originally just a sect of Judaism. The first believers were called “Nazarenes” or “Followers of the Way.” In Paul’s trial before Felix, the lawyer for the prosecution said, “We have found this man to be a troublemaker, stirring up riots among the Jews all over the world. He is a ring leader of the Nazarene sect,” Acts 24: 5.

They understood that it was not strict observance of the Law that saved you. Instead, they understood that deliverance (salvation) is a free gift. The early believers still observed the Law of Moses, as an outward sign of their devotion to the Creator (YaHUaH), just as we should today; and will on into the New Earth (Isa.66:22, 23).

The first believers were not called “Christians”

"Christians" Not Found in the Earliest New Testaments

Most assume that the name and religion of Christians originated in New Testament times. That Christians are recorded as having thrived in the first century as recorded by certain historians, thus the references to "first-century Christians".  However, there is no historical or scriptural trace of Christians or Christianity either in the New Testament or the first century, in name or religion. The evidence shows that Christians arose no earlier than the second century as an anti-Jewish movement that broke away from the Natzraya (Nazarenes).

The Manuscript Evidence

Both the New Testament and secular histories had their texts altered to create the impression that Christians / Christianity had a legitimate beginning. In Christian bible translations, Christian appears in three places; Acts 11:26, Acts 26:28, and 1 Peter 4:16. The oldest known Greek manuscript of the New Testament is the Sinaiticus, the second oldest is the Vaticanus. Neither of these texts contain the Greek term Christian.

Another well known teaching within Christianity is that "Jesus nailed the law to the stake"  This, like many other teachings, has been around for many years within mainstream Christianity, so again we need to ask the question: What is our final authority for Truth? A teaching of man, or the Word of YHWH? We need to look a little deeper into exactly WHAT was nailed to the stake.

Many persist  to argue "all that Old Testament stuff was just for the Jews" - while not realizing there were no Jews before Jacob gave birth to his one son Judah (from which came “the Tribe of Judah”  Adam and Chavah (Eve) (Gen. 2) weren't Jews; Cain and Abel (Gen. 4) who offered sin sacrifices weren't Jews; and neither was Noah (Gen. 6) who knew the difference between "clean and unclean" animals; and neither were Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. And yet, ALL believers in the Elohim of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were Torah observant!

The Golden Calf Worship System of the House of Israel - Northern Kingdom

To keep his people at home and happy in the Northern Kingdom, Yeroboam developed the "Golden Calf Worship System."  He built two temples and strategically placed them in the Northern Kingdom.  One was in the City of Dan near the upper Northern border close to Mt. Hermon, and the other in the City of Bethel on the Southern border that divided the two Kingdoms.

The focus of worship in these temples was a "golden calf."  Yeroboam mixed Torah worship of Yahueh with the revived Egyptian  "golden calf" Sun-god religion that Israel's ancestors had learned when they were in Egypt during their 430 years of slavery. Yeroboam's greatest sin was that he called his newly formed pagan religion the true worship of Yahuah.

Many people, when first presented with these truths, come up with the exuse "Well, God knows my heart, He knows I love Him, and I celebrate such things as Christmas in my own way, to remember the birth of the Saviour" But is this not taking pagan practices and using them to worship YHWH, just as they did with the Golden Calf?

We ask you to just take a moment and think about it.  Yahuah lovingly gave His people  instructions and laws, just as we as parents give our children rules and guidelines for their safety and for their happiness and good. He is the ‘Master Architect’  so don’t you think he knows how to build the house correctly? He gave us His instructions, as a blueprint for moral set apart  living, so our ‘house’ would be built on a firm foundation.  Without YHWH's  Torah (first five Books of the Scripture), man wouldn't know what separates right from wrong, good from evil, or what constitutes sin. What is sin?

"And everyone having this expectation in Him cleanses himself, as He is clean. Everyone doing sin also does lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness." I John 3:3-4

1 John 2:3-6 And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands. 4 The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.6 The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked.”

If we walk "as" Yahushua did, we do the things He did, and observe the observances He observed, according to the Word of Yahuah.  He lived as our example.  So, how does it become appropriate for us to ignore all the things He did, and embrace Christmas, Easter, and Sun-day, observances borrowed from Pagan cultures?

Let us look at the account of Noah for a moment.

When Yahuah instructed Noah, according to Genesis chapter 6 to build an ark of gopherwood, He gave Noah very specific instructions on not only the type of wood to use, but the exact dimensions, number of levels - the ENTIRE DETAILED blueprint of how HE wanted Noah to construct it. Now, if Noah would have taken Yahuah's instructions and only partially followed them, or added/taken away fromYahuah's instructions with HIS OWN-  what do you think would have happened?

The question we can ask ourselves here is: Whose instructions are we using to build our "Ark"? To take it a step further: ARE WE IN THE RIGHT ARK? This is a sobering question when considering our eternity.

We are certainly not  implying that YHWH's love is conditional. He loves us no matter what. But why would His loving us release His people from obedience to His instructions?? Yahushua said:

"If you love Me, you shall guard My commands"

John 14:15

What commands was Yahushua speaking of here?

Where are we given permission to ignore His "forever" commands, just because "Yahushua died"? Where did Yahushua personally ever say that His death was to nullify or wipe out His Father's Torah?

I John 2:3-7  "Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of YHWH is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.

He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

How did Yahushua walk?

Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning."
